Keto Krack

Keto, Vegan, Paleo, Sugar free

NO BAKE

There is a new kinda krack on the block and its one thats good for your health.

The 'Keto Krack' will melt in your mouth.. they are sweet crunchy and creamy all at the same time. Trust me you wont forget about these bars. They may change your life.

I can't last a day without my sugar-free chocolate fix. I swap between making chocolate and protein bars. These 'keto krack' bars are a fantastic mix of both.

They are my go-to snack after meals and for a treat each night. These bars are sugar-free and full of healthy fats. Healthy fats will abolish any sugar cravings you have.

The ingredients may seem a little expensive if you buy in large quantities, but this recipe makes a huge batch, and you don't need much because they are satisfying and rich. I made just over 30 small bars. Make sure to store them in the fridge or freezer otherwise they may melt.

If your local bulk store stocks sugar-free chocolate you can do a zero waste version of this recipe YAY. Zero waste meaning you purchase ALL ingredients from the bulk store, so you have no waste. If you aren't strictly sugar-free, you can use 80% or 90% Dark chocolate instead of the 'Well Naturally' bars , if you are planning on making this recipe zero waste swap the 'stevia blend' for xylitol purchased from the bulk store.. But if you use different ingredients I cant guarantee they will be 'keto'.

Ingredients:

  • 2 x 90g sugar-free dark well naturally chocolate bars

  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbs of raw earth sweeter stevia + monk fruit ** see note below

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 1 cup of natural peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup of raw cacao powder

  • 1 cup of hazelnuts

  • 1 cup of seeds of choice or 'paleo protein power' mix from 'The Source bulk foods'

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan whilst stirring melt chocolate, coconut oil and peanut butter together on the lowest heat. Once the chocolate has melted, add your sea salt, sweetener, raw cacao and mix well until no clumps are left.

  2. Turn off the heat and fold through your nuts and seeds.

  3. Pour into a lined or greased slice tin and place into the freezer for 3+ hours to set. Once set slice into bars and store in airtight containers in your fridge or freezer.

Notes:

I can't guarantee the sweetness ratio when using different chocolate or sweetener, so I suggest adding your sweeter part by part and then test trying it. Keep adding till you have reached your desired sweetness.

I purchased my sweetener from Woolworth's in the baking aisle. You can also buy the 'Natvia' stevia sweetener.

You can eat these bars straight from the freezer if you wish!

The paleo power mix I got from the bulk store was a mix of 'sunflower, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, cacao nibs, chia and coconut chips.

If you follow a strict ketogenic diet, and cant get seed mix I used from the bulk store, choose the lowest carb seeds avalible.

ENJOY!
