Healthy Vegemite


AHHH vegemite. The Australian classic. Here is my healthy version of vegemite made from scratch. You can purchase all these ingredients from the bulk food store; I highly encourage you to shop at the bulk store to make this recipe waste free.


Makes: One small jar.


Healthy Vegemite


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup black tahini

  • 1/2 cup nutrition yeast

  • 4 tablespoons of tamari

  • 1 tsp honey


Directions:

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl or jar until smooth.

**Add a little water or olive oil if you want the spread a thinner texture.


Notes:

The recipe makes one small jar. Double the recipe if you want a more significant amount.

Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and spread on toast, crackers or veggies sticks.
